I didn't forget......

Wow, it's been a while. I haven't forgotten about this blog, just haven't had time to write anything really. Here's why:

I started a new job about 4 or 5 weeks ago. I work at Spartan Chassis in Charlotte now. Good company, good job, 2o minutes away from home vs. the hour away my last job was, so that's good. Technically, I work for Aerotek, which is a job placement company, and am on contract with Spartan, but still its a good job. I do kind of feel stupid when I come into work though. They use SolidWorks here, which I have some experience with, not a whole lot. Everyone here almost knows SolidWorks inside and out, and I don't. They all have degrees here in engineering, and I don't. The only good qualities I have for this job is that I do know (somewhat) how to get around in SolidWorks and I have my associates in automotive technology. I guess I should have mentioned I'm in the defense department section where we help design and engineer military vehicles. This has made me think hard about going back to school, but I'm not sure what I really want to go for. Should I get into an engineering major, or finish my bachelor's in computer science? Do I really want to work in any of those fields? I'm not going to lie...my passion is video games. I would love to work in video games either working on the game itself, or reviewing video games.

Speaking of video games, I've been playing a lot of them lately on my Playstation 3, PSP, and Nintendo DS. The one sucking up most of my time right now is Dead Space for the PS3. An excellent game that I will write a review about later. Other games I plan on writing about (and am currently playing) are Mega Man 9 (PS3), PixelJunk Monsters, Burnout Paradise, Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core, Patapon, and Space Invaders Extreme (PSP). I haven't played or bought anything on my PC yet, due to the fact that my PC is old and I want to upgrade. It's going to be a huge upgrade, and it will be worth it because Diablo III is coming out soon!!!

More on video games soon. I want to write reviews for them, but I'd like to get through them first. I have this problem with buying a game, playing it, then buying something else and playing that forgetting about the other game and never finishing it. This season has seen some great games releasing, and I want to buy them all (ex. Guitar Hero:World Tour, BioShock,), and then there are some ones that have been out for a while that I want to play/finish (ex. Uncharted:Drakes Fortune, Assasins Creed, Unreal Tournament III, Lair...).

Well, I think that's enough rambling for right now, more later. I want to write at least once or twice a week. We'll have to see how that goes I guess. Hopefully whoever reads this enjoys reading my thoughts and keeps coming back.
